Ladle & Tundish Covering Compound
We manufacture covering compounds used in ladle and tundish. Our covering compounds are highly insulating powder, which has very good expandability and spreadability, so that it expands and spreads instantly to cover entire molten steel surface in the ladle and tundish.
GSS-LCC is highly insulating in nature significantly reducing heat loss due to radiation from the top surface of liquid steel. This results in maintaining consistent temperature in the ladle and also prevents temperature drop and freezing of metal in longer duration casting.
GSS-LCC also performs an additional task of keeping the ladle clean before lancing process thus avoiding additional slag formation and preventing excess jamming of nozzle. This highly reduces the lancing cost and reduces metal wastage giving an added advantage over other ‘Ladle Covering Compounds’ with quality output.
Different categories of Ladle/Tundish Covering Compounds are used as per different industry needs, caster timings, ladle logistic timing, amount of insulation and area to be covered. As per the requirements and specifications below are the types of ‘Ladle Covering Compounds’ used in steel making industry.
Ladle Covering Compounds:
